What is the Specialist Practice Conference?
The new format has been designed to strengthen connections within the specialty community and deliver greater value for attendees, firms and partners by supporting collaboration, networking, cross-referral opportunities and knowledge sharing across the profession.

Who should attend?
The conference is designed for practitioners seeking specialist-level learning, practical insights and opportunities to connect with peers working across related areas of law.
Will my area of law be covered?
The conference will cover the following areas of law, on specific days:
Day One | Wednesday 7 October
Elder Law, Succession Law, Workplace Relations and Personal Injury Law
Day Two | Thursday 8 October
Property Law, Commercial Law, Commercial Litigation and Government Law
Day Three | Friday 9 October
Family Law, Domestic and Family Violence, Criminal Law and Migration Law
Can I attend just one day?
Yes. One-day, two-day and three-day passes are available.
What is the firm registration option?
Firm registrations have been designed for organisations with teams of two or more practitioners attending the conference and can be across different practice areas or conference days.
These options provide flexibility for firms, government departments and community legal centres supporting professional development across multiple practitioners.
Can I share or transfer my registration?
Splitting or sharing a registration is not allowed under any circumstance. Even if you only want to attend part of the Specialist Practice Conference, you cannot share your registration with another delegate.
Can I cancel my registration?
If you need to cancel your registration, please send your request via email to events@qls.com.au.
If we receive your cancellation at least 7 days before the event (not including the event day), we'll refund your registration fee minus a 30% cancellation fee. If the cancellation request comes in 7 days or less before the event (again, not including the event day), unfortunately, we won’t be able to offer a refund. EDUCATION & CPD
How many CPD points can I earn?
Delegates can earn 6 CPD points for each day attended.
Is the conference recorded?
Session of the conference will be recorded and available for purchase on the QLS E-shop 6-weeks post event. While the conference in recorded, attendance is for in-person only.
Will presenter materials be available?
Sessions from across the three days will be recorded and available for purchase on the QLS Shop 6-weeks post event. While the conference is recorded, attendance is for in-person only.
